Storytelling with Your Body, Mind and Soul: How Changing Your Narrative Can Change Your Life

Anthropologists and world-historian assert that storytelling was developed as a survival mechanism ensuring the transmission of crucial information from one generation to the next.

The same is true in our own lives today. The narrative we use to describe our lives affects the way we live them. This fun, informative, and experiential workshop will give you the tools you need to better tell more authentic stories.

Using meditation, myth, movement, and vocal exercises you will be able to more clearly recognise how you enact your narrative. Who are your antagonists? Who is your faithful sidekick? Who is the wizard/witch who helps by challenging you? How can you reach your Promised Land?

In the workshop we will access and apply practical lessons using our mind (lectures and videos), body (movement and play) and soul (meditation and intuition) to explore stories from Scheherazade to Biblical Ruth to current events, as well as participants’ biographies.

What constitutes a good storyteller?

How can we utilise ancient stories in our modern lives?

Become the hero/heroine of your own saga!
